Partnership with She Hunts Skills Camp centers around keeping hunters safe from insect bites while encouraging outdoor exploration and confidence building.

Ranger Ready Repellents announces a partnership with She Hunts Skills Camp, a camp created to give women the opportunity to develop skills and build confidence as hunters.

“Our mission at Ranger Ready is the stem the alarming increase of vector-borne diseases from tick and mosquito bites,” said Chris L. Fuentes, Ranger Ready Founder & CEO. “Hunters are particularly vulnerable, so our partnership with She Hunts Skills Camp is focused around proper training and wearing repellents so that hunters don’t become hunted by insects.”

She Hunts Skills Camp was founded by Brittany Boddington, the daughter of author and television personality, Craig Boddington. She began hunting after high school, and now spends the year “living out of a suitcase” in pursuit of exciting adventures. Boddington has been seen on popular hunting shows and writes for several notable outdoor publications. Among her many accomplishments in the hunting world, Boddington was honored as the first woman to ever appear on the cover of Petersen’s Hunting Magazine.

“She Hunts is thrilled to be partnering with Ranger Ready Repellents to protect the ladies that attend our camps from annoying bug bites so they can focus on learning to be strong and independent in the outdoors,” said Boddington. “Our camps take place in Texas and there are plenty of reasons to use repellent, but no one likes the corrosive nature of typical DEET products, so we are happy to have found a picaridin-based product that works."

Each She Hunts Skills Camp participant will receive a bottle of Ranger Ready Camo Scent Zero in their premium swag bag. Scent Zero, Ranger Ready’s newest groundbreaking product offering, is an unscented insect repellent created in part from feedback from hunters who wanted to stay protected from insect-borne diseases while being undetected by animals.

During the four-day camps, held several times throughout the year, Ranger Ready and She Hunts Skills Camp will encourage campers to properly wear repellent during various activities, including mounting a scope on a rifle and sighting in a firearm, to introductory archery technique and stalking techniques taught by a Navy Seal.

All of Ranger Ready Repellents are made with the active ingredient Picaridin 20%, the safe and effective alternative to DEET. Picaridin is non-corrosive so it won’t harm hunting gear and is safe for women who are pregnant and children over age-1. Scent Zero joins the line of Ranger Ready’s scented Picaridin 20% repellents – Amber, Night Sky, and Orange.
